Importance of AI Info Pages

Published On: September 28th, 2026||Categories: Marketing||

Your website has an About page. A Services page. Probably an FAQ. Maybe even a few PDFs floating around that nobody remembers creating. So why on earth would you need another page just for AI?

Because your business has a history. Over the years, information about it naturally ends up in a lot of places: website pages, news releases, PDFs, directories, social profiles, articles and other corners of the internet.

That wasn’t necessarily a problem when people were clicking through search results and deciding what looked most current. Now AI is doing some of that sorting for them. You probably want it to have the facts straight so it can give people the right answer when they ask about your business.

First, What Is an AI Info Page?

An AI info page is essentially a cheat sheet for AI.

It is a dedicated page on your website designed to give platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and other AI-powered search tools a clear, concise and current explanation of your business without making them play digital detective across your entire website.

That might include:

  • Who you are
  • What you do
  • Who you serve
  • Where you operate
  • Your primary products or services
  • Key leadership information
  • Credentials, specialties or differentiators
  • Common questions about your business
  • Links to other authoritative pages

Just the facts, organized so they are easy to find and understand.

Why Does That Matter?

People are increasingly asking AI-powered tools questions they once typed directly into Google.

Those tools pull information from multiple sources. That might include your website, an old press release, a directory listing, a forgotten PDF or a page that still references a service you stopped offering years ago.

And if those sources disagree? AI has to decide which one is right.  The tricky part is that the answer can sound very confident even when some of the information behind it is outdated.

Your Business Shouldn’t Be a Guessing Game

An AI info page helps establish a central source for the facts you want search engines and AI platforms to understand about your organization.

Let’s say your company expanded into a new market, changed leadership, renamed a service or stopped offering something several years ago. Your current website may reflect those changes, but references to the old information can still exist elsewhere online.

An AI info page gives you a place to spell things out. Instead of simply saying: “ABC Company now offers Commercial Property Services.” The page might explain: “ABC Company’s former Facility Management division is now called Commercial Property Services.”

That little bit of context helps connect old information with new information. Basically, you’re helping connect the dots before AI decides to connect them for you.

It’s Not a Magic AI Button

Let’s clear something up.

You cannot add an AI info page and suddenly become ChatGPT’s favorite plumber, law firm, marina, orthodontist or widget manufacturer. (Wouldn’t that be nice?)

It is not a secret ranking hack. It’s about giving AI systems clearer information to work with.

Your Website Has a New Audience

For years, businesses built websites for two audiences: People and Google.

Now there’s a third. AI systems are trying to understand who you are, what you do and whether the information they find about you can be trusted.

That doesn’t mean that we are throwing out traditional SEO. It means that we need to recognize that the way people discover businesses is changing, and your website needs to help AI understand your brand just as clearly as it helps your customers.
